The NATE-Certification Advantage

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified surely sounds comforting, what does it actually mean?
nate certified technicians

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the industry are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the certification.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that measure the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job right from the beginning. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment. Call 518-205-3324 to have one of our NATE-Certified experts evaluate your HVAC system to make sure that it is ready to ensure your family’s comfort throughout the year.
